Forge opened in 2019 on Albert Road with a straightforward conviction: that modern British cooking should know exactly where it's from.

Head chef Daniel Marsh grew up in Stockton, trained under two Michelin-starred chefs in London, and came back to Teesside with something to prove — not to the critics, but to the people who live here.

Every dish starts with a single question: what's exceptional in the North East right now? Whitby crab in June. Dales lamb year-round. Wild garlic from the Cleveland Hills in spring.
